Jen Hall is the President/CEO of the Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation and Economic Development Director for the City of Beloit.  Jen serves to foster investment and job growth in the economy thereby improving the quality of life, educational attainment, housing availability and prosperity for all in the Greater Beloit Region.  She has been in this role since January 2021.  Jen has worked for 19 years in business, community and economic development beginning with Catalyst Business Solutions, the consulting firm she founded which helped entrepreneurs realize their dreams; mid to large size businesses increase their profitability; and lead community and economic development  initiatives for public entities.  Jen has served as Executive Director of a business district association and the Northern Illinois Chapter of American Institute of Architects. She co-founded the IT Roundtable and Code for Rockford with EIGERlab, taught Storefront Business Planning Classes for the Small Business Development Center and as the Facilitator for Rockford Community Partners, she grew the organization from 12 neighborhood/community organizations to a coalition of over 70 public and private partners working together to focus on New Narratives, 21st Century Talent, Beautification, Public Art and Storefront, Business District Association & Neighborhood Development.  As the Vice President for Government Relations at Mercyhealth, Jen was instrumental in negotiating the annexation agreement with the City of Rockford, as well as other negotiations at the state and federal level to build the new hospital at Riverside/I90 in Rockford, IL.  She also was key in gaining state approval to build the new Mercyhealth hospital in Crystal Lake, IL.  In all of the work Jen has done over the last twenty years she has continuously sought to serve the businesses and residents of each community to improve their quality of life.
