Beloit hospital staff celebrates 5-star rating from Forbes

BELOIT — Beloit Memorial Hospital staff gathered to enjoy a picnic on the hospital grounds Thursday as they celebrated a 5-Star rating from Forbes, saying the Beloit hospital was one of the top hospitals in the nation.

“We wanted to celebrate our 5-Star rating by celebrating the stars who are employed here,” said Beloit Health System President and CEO Tim McKevett.

He added that the Forbes 5-Star rating was not given to any other hospital in the southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois area. There were only 253 hospitals in the nation to receive the Forbes 5-Star rating in 2026.

The picnic celebration on the hospital grounds included freshly grilled burgers and brats, live music, and T-shirts with lettering stating “Forbes 5-Star Hospital” on them, which were handed out to hospital staff.

“Today’s all about celebrating our employees for what they do every day,” McKevett said.
