City, town of Beloit to consider fire department consolidation

BELOIT — City of Beloit and Town of Beloit officials will consider a proposal to fully consolidate fire and emergency medical services during meetings set for early next week.
The Town of Beloit Board of Supervisors will consider the proposal at its meeting Monday and the Beloit City Council will consider the proposal at its meeting Tuesday.
Each governing body will be asked to approve an intergovernmental agreement to move forward with consolidation.
