BELOIT — The Lincoln Academy (TLA) has received a five-year charter contract from the University of Wisconsin Office of Educational Opportunity (OEO), and earned grant awards from the Charter School Growth Fund and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).

The five-year charter contract, the longest allowed by state statute, was approved by the University of Wisconsin Office of Educational Opportunity. The extension allows The Lincoln Academy to continue operating as a public charter school through 2031, a news release from The Lincoln Academy stated.

In addition to the charter contract, The Lincoln Academy has been awarded a three-year grant of $330,000 per year from the Charter School Growth Fund, a national nonprofit organization that invests in high-performing public charter schools, and a $800,000 grant from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. The funding will support TLA’s expansion efforts and help advance long-term strategic goals.
