BELOIT — Xavier Miller was giving a robotics demonstration Tuesday at the open house for Hendricks CareerTek. The Beloit Memorial High School senior said he started attending programs at CareerTek last year, and he learned there is a lot more he has to learn before he enters the workforce in the career he wants to pursue.
“It’s a lot more than robots,” he said.
He noted if he wants to get into the field of robotics, he has to learn how to put together a business plan and a budget.
Miller was only one of the people who were present at the open house for CareerTek, which was celebrating the completion of an expansion and renovation project at the facility located in the Ironworks Campus in downtown Beloit.
