Beloit wants community help on planning for West Side taxing district

BELOIT — The City of Beloit will hold a planning workshop on Tuesday, May 26 to get community input on creating a special taxing district to spur development on the city’s West Side.
The workshop will take place at 11 a.m. at Dita’s Westside Pub & Grill, 1569 S. Madison Road.
The city held an introductory meeting about creating a tax incremental district (TID) in the Madison Road area at Dita’s on April 30. The meeting drew more than 50 residents eager for the city to pour more resources in the West Side.
